AfroTech Conference
Our team refurbished a large 24-passenger party bus and designed a Japanese style listening lounge, known as a jazz kissa, to spread awareness of the Uber Charter product while giving attendees a moment to recharge at AfroTech’s 2023 Conference in Austin, the largest Black tech conference of the year. The Recharge Charter was the trending hangout spot for attendees to unplug and relax, rehydrate, listen to jazz music, and recharge their devices. The activation had small details but thoughtful delights including sustainable boxed water handouts, custom postcards by a Black artist, record vinyls and tea giveaways, and burning incense to engage the sense of smell.
